Integrating Systems Engineering in Business Management

TUSSolution, a subsidiary of Gund Investment established in 2016, stands at the forefront of system engineering and business management solutions. Our chairman, Mr. Jargalsaikhan, who previously led TUSSolution as CEO for four years, has been instrumental in the development and implementation of groundbreaking management solutions that now underpin our management and governance frameworks. One of his seminal contributions, published in collaboration with the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), focused on the integration of systems engineering practices within business settings. He posited that contemporary business management necessitates a comprehensive and unified approach that addresses stakeholder needs while fostering a synergistic and unified objective. Essentially, systems engineering practices offer a framework for the design and management of both tangible and conceptual systems, empowering stakeholders to maximize their potential and flourish.

Digital Readiness of a social system

https://www.jcose.org/en/event/js2020-program/

One of the hot topics of the last few decades was digital transformation and it still is yet to lose its heat. As time is moving forward, the responsibilities of engineers conducting digital transformation are reaching its peak, and becoming a critical factor in defining organizations' success and failure. However, according to statistics released by McKinsey in 2019, the rate of successful digital transformation is lower than 30%. Some of the major reasons for failure are Missing objectives; shifting requirements; unrealistic planning and so on. In this presentation, our Board Member Batdorj presented the concepts of quantifying the digital readiness of an organization. This quantity is defined through two major factors. The first is to define whether the social system constitutes a healthy sustainable social system's properties. Second is to identify whether the social system’s operation is clearly defined or not.

INCOSE-TUS Smart City Framework

https://www.incose.org/communities/working-groups-initiatives/smart-cities-workinggroup

The INCOSE-TUS Smart City Framework is one of our pioneering projects, co-authored by our Chairman and our esteemed colleagues at TUSSolution /subsidiary/ since 2021. This smart city framework has become an official technical product of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), and is available on their website. This framework differs from other smart city standards or frameworks that focus on specific aspects or domains of smart cities. Instead, the INCOSE Smart Cities Working Group provides a holistic and systemic approach that integrates the various elements of a smart city into a coherent whole. It uses the Human Fundamental Needs Framework developed by Dr. Manfred Max Neef as a basis, and is designed in a way where the citizens’ fundamental needs serve as the main commonly shared goal of the smart city.

TUSSolution, established in 2016 under Gund Investment, is a leading company in system engineering and business management solutions. Our chairman, Mr. Jargalsaikhan, served as the CEO of TUSSolution for four years, during which he developed and implemented many innovative management solutions that now form the basis of our management and governance policy. One of his key publications with INCOSE /International Council on Systems Engineering/ was on applying system engineering practices in business environments. He argued that in the 21st century, business management practices require a more holistic and aligned solution that meets the stakeholders’ needs and creates a synergistic and commonly shared goal. In simple terms, system engineering practice is a method for designing and managing physical and abstract systems that enable stakeholders to unleash their full potential and thrive.
