Mongolia Shines on the Global Stage at SWITCH 2024

On the second day of the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) 2024, Gund Investment took a central role in presenting Mongolia's innovation landscape during the Global Stage session. Representing the nation’s growing startup ecosystem and investment opportunities, the session highlighted the potential of Mongolia as an emerging technology hub.

J. Zolzaya Jargalsaikhan, Director of the National Information Technology Park of Mongolia, opened the session with an overview of Mongolia's progress in e-governance, startup development, and digital transformation initiatives. She underscored key events shaping the industry and extended a formal invitation to attend the upcoming ICT Expo 2025 in Mongolia.

The discussion transitioned to the investment sector, with A. Anar, Director of Synergy Fund Solutions, delivering insights on Mongolia's evolving tech investment climate. His presentation emphasized the nation’s diversification into non-mining sectors and the competitiveness of Mongolian startups in the global market. The session also featured a business pitch by B. Itgel, Legal Director of E Geree, winner of the National Startup Challenge Mongolia-2024. This highlighted the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of Mongolian startups and their adaptability in global markets.

A panel discussion followed, moderated by A. Aminzul, TUS Solution's Singapore Branch Manager. The panel included notable representatives from public and private sectors, including B. Bayartsengel, CEO of TUS Solutions LLC, and S. Erdenebayar, CEO of TESO Investment LLC. Discussions focused on opportunities in Mongolia’s non-mining sectors, such as renewable energy, digital technology, and tourism, and emphasized the importance of international collaboration to harness Mongolia’s young, tech-savvy market.

Gund Investment's delegation played a vital role in showcasing the expanding collaboration between Mongolia and Singapore, emphasizing future opportunities for deeper partnerships in technology and finance. The session concluded with a collective commitment to return in greater numbers for SWITCH 2025, underlining Mongolia's ambition to drive innovation and forge new connections on the global stage.
